“We are extremely happy to have Cuba represented at one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the world. We only hope that other organizations like MU & MW join and allow Cuba compete at such events”. Due to the political status of the island the government does not allow beauty pageant to be held in Cuba since 1959. We hope that this may change soon, we believe that Cuba much to offer culturally & of course in natural beauty. Cuban women are known by there elegance, flawless beauty, sex appeal and a commanding presence.
Miss International Beauty Pageant began in 1960 in Long Beach, California, where it was staged until 1967, before moving to Japan from 1968-1970 to commemorate the Osaka World Expo (the 1968 Pageant was held at the Nippon Budokan, with the “Ginza Parade” from Hibiya Park to Nihonbashi received to great acclaim). This led to it being staged in Japan every year from 1972 onward. What is more, Miss International contestants have appeared at every international expo held in Japan so far, lending glamour. This year, the Pageant will be taking place in Chengdu, China as the pre-event for the Shanghai World Expo 2010 ranks as the core event of international goodwill activities in China, which is enjoyed spectacular economic growth.
"Patricia Rosales" has been chosen via national casting to represent Cuba at Miss International. She will become the first Cuban representative to ever compete at the prestigious event. This gives Patricia the opportunity to volunteer & present her platform Hunger Relief. Presently she is working closely with her Pageant Coach Francisco Gomez, photographer Andres Gonzalez & National Director "Noemi Melendez" preparing for Miss International Beauty Pageant to be held Nov 28, 2009 in China.
During her participation Patricia will be wearing designs from Fashions by Azucar (Cuba), Franovik Designs (Venezuela & PR), Dina Medina (USA), Jacinta Ligon (USA),
Reynaldo Jose (PR) & Elizabeth Carderon (Mexico). We are confident that Patricia will do an amazing job at Miss International she has proven to our organization that she has the drive to win. The Cuban community internationally should be proud to have such a beautiful delegate. To follow Patricia’s journey visit us at www.misscuba.net, www.myspace.com/misscubaorg, www.facebook.com/noemimelendez or via twitter Miss Cuba Org.
